Directing

I like to regard myself as an “actors’ director,” meaning, I am first and foremost interested in the impulses brought to the table by the actors I am working with. I am constantly delighted by the genius actors bring to the table. A director who is not listening to the creative, emotional, and technical input their team has to offer, is missing out, and I will have none of it! I love to geek out about a script with my actors, and collectively develop a deep and specific understanding of the show we are working on. Cultivating an environment that is collaborative, equitable, and safe is of the utmost importance to me.
